Features

Overhead Switch Console

Overhead Switch Console

A Leader exclusive, we have designed the cab headliner in order to move the switches and siren overhead.  Making it easier for the driver to remain focused on the road without having to look down to locate the appropriate switch.  This frees up more space in the dash area for radios, laptops and MDT (mobile data terminals).

Emergency Start System

Emergency Start System

A feature that has been helping medics for over twenty five years. The Leader Emergency Start System provides an isolated secondary battery for those critical moments when your primary battery fails you. Included is an emergency start switch that indicates when the system has been activated so corrective action can be taken by your service personnel.

Leader Electrical

Leader Electrical

The power distribution system has the best of both worlds.  We combined individual printed circuit boards on a rail system with standard automotive relay and circuit breaker technology.  You get the high reliability of printed circuit boards with the in the field serviceability of readily available automotive replacement parts.  We designed these circuit boards to meet stringent military specifications.  They have reverse polarity protection, come with built in diagnostic LED’s, and auto reset circuit breakers.  The individual boards quickly snap in and out for replacement requiring no special tools.  One of the most maintenance free systems on the market.

Ducted Heat/AC

Ducted Heat/AC

At Leader we have engineered the shape of the duct to maximize even air flow and to provide you with the fastest most efficient exchange of air in the patient compartment.  We put the vents on the upper left of the full length of the vehicle near the ceiling in order to provide conditioned air directly to the patient and medics.  With six adjustable vents you will be able to put the air where you need it to warm up or cool down immediately.

AC/Heat Intake and Filter

AC/Heat Intake and Filter

We move the intake vent down low for more efficient air circulation.  Provides easy maintenance access and a replaceable air filter behind the stainless steel intake vent.

Aluminum Slanted Backboard Storage

Aluminum Slanted Backboard Storage

Almost every call requires a backboard so we provide you with quick rear door access and an all metal storage compartment that will last the life cycle of the vehicle.  We slanted the storage compartment to provide an ergonomically correct squad bench that is the not too high and provides needed foot space.

Transverse Horizontal O2 Storage

Transverse Horizontal O2 Storage

A Leader first, we moved the oxygen tank to the front of the vehicle transversely across the bulkhead partition to more efficiently utilize the space and make it easier load and unload the bottle.  We engineered a steel powder coated bracket to safely hold the bottle in place.  The cabinet is adaptable to store one H tank or two M tanks.

Decontamination Station

Decontamination Station

The Leader Decontamination Station is the result of asking EMS professionals what they needed to effectively do their job.  The vehicle has been designed to house three sets of gloves, sanitizers and a storage cabinet all in one convenient area.

D bottle Storage

D bottle Storage

The LE design maximizes space as much as possible, giving you additional storage areas throughout the vehicle.

Safety Throughout

Safety Throughout

Throughout the vehicle we place stainless steel safety handles.  Horizontally on the rear doors, vertically at both the side and rear door entrance and overhead on the ceiling.
